Resume optimizers leave nothing to chance. Grades, length of study, social commitment – they plan everything. The University’s reputation also has to be correct because everyone knowseg in Asian top university: Nobody can get dream jobs only with the best-in-class degree from a forest and meadow university. The numerous university rankings fuel this myth. They suggest: only those who study at a top university receive a good education and thus increase the chances of getting the dream job.
Employers Don’t Give A Damn About The Reputation.
First of all, the facts speak a different language. On average, a university’s excellent reputation is particularly relevant for only eight out of a hundred employers. The chosen focus areas in an applicant’s studies, the exam grade, and the study’s length are more important to them. Why is so much importance attached to the University’s reputation?

For the most part, the universities themselves provide this perception. “Their mission statement is important to the universities. “To attract attention, the universities advertise their most successful graduates. “It is completely legitimate for the University to bring its Nobel Prize winner into the limelight. But that’s not the mainstream.”
Not only do universities benefit from the excellent reputation, top employers such as companies, large management consultancies, and commercial law firms also benefit from their brand awareness. That is why, despite the shortage of skilled workers, they still receive many applications – and therefore have to seven. The reputation of the University can then become a selection criterion.

Much more important is that when it comes to university marketing, companies rely on target universities. These are the universities that, in their experience, produce the best graduates. They organize career lunches, give presentations, or get to know students at other recruiting events or company contact fairs right on campus.
The likelihood of coming into contact with a potential employer during your studies is therefore much more significant. That is undoubtedly an advantage when looking for the dream job.
If the University, the institutes, and the professors have good contact with the business, the students also benefit. Placements for internships and grants for master’s or bachelor’s theses can open the door to your first job.
